In WIndows (Xp-7) when you create a dynamic drive, single partition or spanned across a few, it will not show up if you bring it physically to another windows (Xp-7) PC. It has a signature that sticks to the windows installation it was created in. You can install the hard drive into the new pc, and then open windows explorer.
After you open explorer, right click the my computer and choose (manage). When the manager is open, left click on storage (disk management)
in disk management, you will see the new drive(s) as not working properly with a nice big red X. right click that drive and choose to import (foreign) disk. you will now have access to the drive, and if you don't, then just right click all partitions for the foreign dynamic 'drive'.
Another attempt could be using HxD, and finding anything in the header that describes the partitions as '42' and change to '07', ergo dynamic back to basic. If you miss one of the hex '42' entries, you'll see all partitions as the full size, but unformatted, which is not correct, and just noise.
