I just installed this game and I was wondering why does this make me login (epic games version) and I saw the intro cinematics and then a black screen with a grey arrow. Nothing else. I knew something was wrong, so I checked all the settings and tried:

fullscreen, windowed, borderless. nothing. no difference, intro cinematic then just a black screen and arrow.

Then I chose HDR and non HDR, nothing. I went into the windows 10 display settings and turned off HDR, and then started the game. Voila, Cinematic and then the game in an isometric view, a very grungy and beautiful game.

Then as a test I tried HDR in the video settings. no problem. restarted the game, no problem. Then finally I put windows display settings back to HDR and the game looks beautiful in isometric.

Strange, but it should help someone else out. HDR bug in the game engine, implementation flagging changes on the very first isometric displaying it, or the nvidia drivers with something but it certainly feels like a first time showing the game after a cinematic glitch slip in the game.
