Cuda rendering will not show up on many geforce cards unless you download and install the gpu drivers and cuda drivers | demos from NVIDIA. As of 06/21/2014, the 2gb 560Ti worked in Windows 8.1 x64 with 3dsmax 2015 sp1 with iray if this package was downloaded:
Cuda Toolkit V6
https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-toolkit
cuda_6.0.37_winvista_win7_win8.1_general_64.exe
Then, voila, the GPU will show in iray and you can checkmark to use it to render (along with CPU cores and threads as well)
vray rt seems to sense the common geforce cards easier (and has issues with an ATI Firepro V7900 and 560Ti 2gb mixed). You have to turn off one gpu at times to test the bugs, do that in the device manager without physically removing the card.
One time I saw a quadro 2000 with 1gb crash vray rt because it needed more than 1gb and GPU in the test machine was another 560Ti 2gb as in the example above. Turning it off in the device manager allowed at least 1 gpu to do it's thing.
Better yet, the new 780 6gb is out, and retails at $589 over on www.newegg.com
