Now in 2024 since 2019 I have found a great casting director’s list, which has 23 pages (nationwide I believe). Seems like they might like to sell you websites, headshots or reels, but to sign-up and see the listings is free.

Mike Lemon Casting (Phila/KOP)

Mike Lemon Casting is in the suburbs of Philadelphia and has a great site with classes and simple jobs with some lead work. Mostly background and commercial jobs, even some voice overs. Free to sign up and submit to the open events. I always feel comfortable with this group as they want you to get the job and enjoy it as well.
Barbara McNamara

Barabara knows what she wants and gives her clients the best. I got to work with her and joined SAG doing A Night Of Too Many Stars. She got me to open with Jon Stewart! I really think she’s someone you want to work with if you can.
Heery Loftus Casting (Phila)

FREE.
HL has a great new online casting portal, better than any other NYC larger volume company, it is very easy to setup your account with your cell phone number and a password and the work is easy to submit for. Listed as NU for non-union and U for SAG actors in the screen actor’s guild.
Diane Heery has projects in feature film and commercial work. While less volume than other casting companies they never forget the little guy, none on this list do.
Central Casting

FREE. New York and Los Angeles. Pretty much the conveyor belt of background jobs. No brainer, walk in, feels like a job fair, head shot, walk out. Get a few calls here and there for simple nd, non descript, background work. They list on their website, facebook, and on casting networks as well ($25 to join that with hundreds of other companies listing).
Comer Casting

FREE. Comer casting is a hit or miss, but they have quite a few shows and a few film they cast for year round. The bigger companies are better at communication and information online about a casting but they get the job done.

Sylvia Fay has given me a lot of work featured and in some cases good background work as well. They also have agency pro software for casting, so joining is free. They are very easy to work with.
